How to play Guess the fruit

Type a fruit and compare: color, taste, whether it grows on a tree, vine or bush, where it comes from and how big it is.

How a round works

  1. Type any fruit and pick it from the suggestions.
  2. The tiles compare your guess with the mystery fruit: green is a match, amber is close, arrows point toward the answer.
  3. The case file keeps score of everything you have proved. The picture sharpens after each guess.

The clues

Questions

How many fruits can come up?
60 fruits can be guessed, so rounds rarely repeat.
What do the colors mean?
Green means that detail matches the answer exactly. Amber means it is close: a shared value, the same continent or a number within 25%. Arrows point toward the answer — up means the answer is bigger or later.
What is the case file?
The panel next to the picture collects everything your guesses have proved about the mystery fruit: details you have matched, values you have ruled out and the range a number must be in.
What if I cannot spell the fruit?
Start typing and pick from the suggestions. They tolerate typos, so a misspelled fruit still turns up.
How many guesses do I get?
8. The picture of the answer gets sharper after each wrong guess.
Is Guezzle free?
Yes. Every game is free, with no account, no download and no limit on how many rounds you play.
Where are my stats saved?
Your streaks and scores stay in this browser on this device. Nothing is sent to a server.
